I am a professional hair stylist, and I used to work in a salon that specialized in edgy "scene" haircuts!

As for types of haircuts, looking at the length of your hair and how it frames your face, I would go for the "gunshot wound" hairstyle, which involves, lots of choppy layers which become shorter near the crown of your hair and side bangs.
As for colour, platinum blonde is a popular option.
As well as dark brown/black.
Also, you could put pink or/and blue hair dye that you got for your birthday/christmas, into your side bangs or on the tips of your hair for an extra scene and "out there" look.

as for color, i would go with a dark brown w/ some caramel colored highlights. save the pink and blue dye for some hair extensions that can be clipped on and off. that way you wont have to worry about your hair matching your clothes %26amp;%26amp; you wont look to out there.

For scene hair, make sure you have a side fringe, and have the bottom layer of your hair really long - longer than other lays. If you're getting it done at a salon you can find a picture from www.photobucket.com and search 'scene hair' and find a picture that you like and print it and show your hair stylist and they will get it done for you.
Scene hair consist of chompy layers.
You also need hair products like hair spray etc... and need to know how to tease your hair!

Well i suggest going either some subtle darker streaks if your looking to color and if you deside to cut it will depend on your face and the style you want to deal with.
Darker is another option, I have been both with my strawberry hair too.
I like the lighter streaks better.

Without the color those cuts are just plain long, layered hair. The color is what makes them "scene hair".

i dont even think that, thats even called layers. its hard to describe BUT please, please, if you go to a stylist, make sure she repeats what you want back to you! you could bring in a pic of a short hair style like that and say "but i want to keep my lengh" i once brought in a pic of a girl that had some lengh to her hair but it was a little funky and she completly cut it short! and it stuck out straight like that...did she not even look at the pic? well, hope you come back loving it.
be sure your hair is long enough to get that cut. also, make sure the salon you go to is good with styles like that. some salons do a lot of traditional styles and aren't equipt to deal with something different. Get a photo of what you want and take it with you when you check out salons. that girl in the scene looked like she had long hair and just lopped off a bunch on top to spike. It could be that simple.
just bring the picture to the hairstylist and tell her what you wrote, easy as pie (=

It's the type of hair that emo/hxc/sxc kids have.
It's kind of like a mullet but with a longer "tail" on the back and it's supposed to have lots of volume.

it's ok i know what you mean but im in teh us so i dont what your taling about when you say la habra whittier or la mirada any well own salon will do just get a pic of teh hair stlye you like and take that along and ask for
shorter layers at the top and longer layers in the back and it the shorer layers very very choppy and have all this done with a razor adn you can add extnestions if you like (clip in's) are teh best for scene hair and dont freak out cause it doesnt look like the hair in the pic that's when you come in and tease your hair and add product and hairclips ect email if you have any questions ok
