As for types of haircuts, looking at the length of your hair and how it frames your face, I would go for the "gunshot wound" hairstyle, which involves, lots of choppy layers which become shorter near the crown of your hair and side bangs.
As for colour, platinum blonde is a popular option.
As well as dark brown/black.
Also, you could put pink or/and blue hair dye that you got for your birthday/christmas, into your side bangs or on the tips of your hair for an extra scene and "out there" look.

as for color, i would go with a dark brown w/ some caramel colored highlights. save the pink and blue dye for some hair extensions that can be clipped on and off. that way you wont have to worry about your hair matching your clothes %26amp;%26amp; you wont look to out there.

If you're getting it done at a salon you can find a picture from www.photobucket.com and search 'scene hair' and find a picture that you like and print it and show your hair stylist and they will get it done for you.
Scene hair consist of chompy layers.

Well i suggest going either some subtle darker streaks if your looking to color and if you deside to cut it will depend on your face and the style you want to deal with.
Darker is another option, I have been both with my strawberry hair too.
I like the lighter streaks better.

i dont even think that, thats even called layers. its hard to describe BUT please, please, if you go to a stylist, make sure she repeats what you want back to you! you could bring in a pic of a short hair style like that and say "but i want to keep my lengh" i once brought in a pic of a girl that had some lengh to her hair but it was a little funky and she completly cut it short! and it stuck out straight like that...did she not even look at the pic? well, hope you come back loving it.
be sure your hair is long enough to get that cut. also, make sure the salon you go to is good with styles like that. some salons do a lot of traditional styles and aren't equipt to deal with something different. Get a photo of what you want and take it with you when you check out salons. that girl in the scene looked like she had long hair and just lopped off a bunch on top to spike. It could be that simple.

all emo/scene haircuts are essentially the following:
just ask for a haircut that incorporates layers. you want about two-three depending on the length of your hair. you want to mention the layers should look "choppy." you'll also want to ask for side-bangs.
that should treat you well, and whatever you do - no matter how cool you think the "scene mullet" thing is, please don't do it. that hairstyle is really ridiculous.

I think you're right, clip in coon tail striped hair extensions are best because-
- you don't ruin your hair with dye
- they don't grow out
- you can put them in and take them off
- they can last you forever
- they're cheap
- they look like the real thing
- they wont go all frizzy and weird like real hair does when it's dyed, it'll just look like part of your hair.
- You can change your look really easily

Put on bright colored eyeliner and bright eye shadow such as pink, purple, blue, green, and red. Remember to use thick, black eyeliner. The makeup can be plain black, depending on how scene you would like to be.
Do interesting things with your hair. Dye it multiple colors, put it up in ribbons, and don't forget little girl bows on the side. Kiddie clips and thin colored headbands are acceptable.
Short, choppy layers are very scene. The scene mullet is also popular, along with the reverse mullet for the extreme scene.

After i straighten it i tease it with a small tooth comb.
I like to use pomade to give it a stringy look.
Oh and also use lots of hair spray to give your hair the scene look. Try putting color in your hair. Thats always funn.

There are many flat irons that work good. Its just like anything else. The more expensive they are the better it is.The best that i have owned would be a chi. You can buy them at Sally Beauty Supply, or most salons. They are like $120 and up. They have a few diffrent kinds.

Look through mags and books but ask a stylist (who looks good) to book you. Then go back in a few days and get his/her opinion.
There are great products (like styling gel and sprays) that you can just spray on wet hair to make it cute and curly. However, the charm is in the cut. You have to work w/the hair God gave you, and I ought to know--I have ethnic hair--1/2 Italian and 1/2 Polish--and on a good day it can curl and frizz and do everything.
So, I went to a great salon and listened to a stylist who was, guess what, Polish, and could understand my hair. She helped me to use the products and taught me to do it on my own. It makes me feel like a million dollars to do it correctly and to have someone tell me it looks nice. I can do it wet and curly; I can use
hot rollers, I can braid it, I can put it up like Miss America, and I can even make it go straight.
But when I really want to look nice I save up some money and go see Cindi--she has been my stylist for 10 years and will be for as long as she is in the business because she is a teacher as well as a friend. She actually cares about her clients and it shows.
Enjoy the process. You will use it the rest of your life.

You get it layered at a styling salon, you should take the brown lowlights out (keep the pink), and it needs to be short on top but not so much that it looks like a mullet, and it needs to be long on the sides, and you'll have to tease the top the get the scene look.
It's a pain in the ****, I tried for it and after four days, I gave up and decided to let it grow out.

I go to a private school with a bunch of rich snobs. I am currently trying to make my look more edgy. I have a slightly rounded face with a bit of a sharp jaw. The biggest issue i have is that i have freckles. it really messes with the look! my hair is shoulder length and a very light brown (auburn). i dont want to cut my hair to a really short "boy cut" but i could shorter. and suggestions for colors and/or cuts? pictures would be rad.

Sometimes this is normal for friends to pick on one another but sometimes they may go too far. Tell them you don't like being made fun of and if they continue to do so, ignore them as much as possible.
I'm currently in a similar situation so I know how you feel. Since my friends pis* me off I try and get away from them as much as possible and hang out with the people that just make me laugh.
My best friend got her scene hair made fun of a lot too. If you're into the whole 'scene' thing, be prepared- you'llget a lot of negative attention from it. But you'll also get noticed by the people who you want to notice you....(think hot scene guys!! =])

Many reasons....the last one I mentioned was why I used to pick on my friend. She was "scene" and I wasn't. That made us different, which hurt me a little bit.

Haha. this question is really funny. Me and my friends when we see each other scream, "Oh my God! Hey b!*tch!" Or, "I missed you, b!*tch!" And if we dont like something about the other we say, "Omg! LOTS and LOTS of hairspray. I recommend HOLD IT! hairspray which you can find at your local beauty supply store. You just have to figure it out on your own really. Just use your hands and shape and poof it. I really wouldnt tease it, that's really not how they style it trust me, I have hair like this and so do all of my friends. Its just a matter of knowing what youre doing, and it takes time to learn, but youll get better wtih practice. Just take your hand and like mold your hair sort of. Hold it how you want it and hairspray it a lot.

then use pomade to section it off for that extra chunky look -
part as far to the side as you can deal with it - run a straightner over it to smooth out -

Get a haircut and style it.
Get a really choppy cut, (just above the shoulder) with a huge side bang and many different layers. The use a texture wax and hairspray. Also you could dye it dark brown or black if it's light.

well, you could go get it cut with lots of layers, starting from the top and get it thinned out with a razor. just go to the hair cutting place and give them a picture of what you want your hair to look like and they should cut it for you that way. and when you get done, go get some hairspray and have fun with your hair.

If you would like to have a unique style for your hair,I would consider getting bright hi-lights or just wear your hair in more than a ponytail.For ideas,go to the nearest hair cutting place and look in their idea books.Maybe you could even cut your hair a different way.
i think if you had a patch of highlights on the top would look good as thats the fashion with highlights at the mo~ not to be evrywhere just in one spot~plus that way you can get used to it and then u might wanna go cmpletey blue!!

I think you're right, clip in coon tail striped hair extensions are best because-
- you don't ruin your hair with dye
- they don't grow out
- you can put them in and take them off
- they can last you forever
- they're cheap

Dye it dark brown first to see how you look with dark hair, use a semi dye so it can fade. Then dye it black if you think dark hair suits you. As you get more confident with it put in a few streaks of blonde.

You wont get teased. Maybe you could put black streaks in first with your light brown hair and see how people like it and if they critisize that bad, then dont go with the full head of black BUT do what you want and what makes you comfortable.

Use ribbon. That's all I can suggest.
You get some ribbon that you like and tie it in a TIGHT bow, and put a little pva glue on to the ends to stop the ribbon fraying. Superglue it to a hair grip.

get it chemically straightened that can be a bit pricey though.
you could get herbal essence (dangerously straight) shampoo and conditioner.
then straighten it ..but make sure to use a thermal protection surem or spray

if you really dont wanna straighten with a straightener, you should invest in getting your hair relaxed/ permanently straightened. Ive had it done and it actually leaves your hair feeling really soft and silky, despite the chemicals that were used.
It would be much easier for you and you can definitely get the scene cut

Well I have curly hair too. For a long time I struggled with being able to fix it. I grew to hate my hair. But now, many years later, I have grown to love my unique hair. Very few girls are lucky enough to have curly hair. Depending on the length of your hair you can do different things with it. First, look into using organic shampoo, conditioner, and other hair products. They are much better for your hair, and much better for the environment. After shampooing, I load on the conditioner, enough to be able to comb my fingers through the hair. After coming out of the shower, allow your hair to stay inside a towel for about 10 minutes, then apply a light coating of "Miracle Oil" available from an Organic or Health Store, or you can simply go to a Sally Store and pick up "Natural 7 Oil." Divide your hair into 3 sections, and put enough oil in your hands to lightly cover all the hair in one section. Repeat for other 2 sections. (You'll be amazed with the way it shimmers once its dried). Style your hair. Try parting from just above your left eyebrow and then take the comb back diagonally to the opposite side of the head. If you want a smoother look, naturally dry. For more volume, stand with knees slightly wider than shoulder width apart, and then shake your head (rock star style) in long sweeping motions. Do this with caution, and only do about 3 shakes each time you do it. (Probably about 5 times throughout the drying process). Now, I know that it sounds weird to want to add volume to curly hair, but trust me it looks great! Now for extra va-va-voom, dry your hair with a hair dryer on low heat, using high heat only when necessary. Turn your head over and dry from the base of the head out to the ends, as the ends will dry out faster. Do the rock star shakes a couple of times. This will take a while but there is one thing I've learned with curly hair. Be patient. Take the time to nurture it, and you will learn to love your lovely locks! The most important aspect of styling curly hair, is do not touch the hair once the drying process has begun. Now another note: I only wash my hair every 3 days-once a week. Curly hair is naturally dry, so any more washing will excessively dry it out. In between washes, I go to the bathroom sink, put small amounts of water on my hair, and then slowly but surely wet the entire surface of the hair. Then simply grab some conditioner, the kind that you normally wash out, and put it all over your hair. Your hair will dry within about 20 minutes, and your are totally set for the rest of the day. Do this every day in between washes, only if your hair needs it, and you will be amazed with the results. I hope this helps, and remember, the best look is the look of confidence. Be confident with your look, and beauty will exude from you.
NOw.......for styling tips, Curly hair looks best loose and messy. Get some accessories that will look good with your hair: Leather, metal, anything that has an earthy look usually looks good with it. I like to use chignon sticks, or you could even just use a pencil, gather the hair up like you are going to put it in a low ponytail, then twist it up almost to the top. Stick the pencil in there, then let the curls fall over your head. You can pull small strands down around your face. And the best part about this look? It usually looks better over the day, as the curls fall and loosen even more. Don't get stressed if it doen't look perfect and in place, because curly hair is supposed to look messy. More than anything, just get to know your hair. Once you begin to understand its personality, you can better style it. I hope this helps!
Straighten your hair and apply hair spray all over lightly flip your hair and more hairspray. keep it in a loose pony tail when sleeping or like if it is wet put it in a pony or a really loose braid, it gets it pretty straight
Try Relaxing your hair... or get a Straight Perm.
Although being 'scene' is probably just a phase (I've been through this too, and also have curly hair) you could get a permanent or perm.
This would be permanently straightening your hair, although it will eventually grow out. That way you will only need to blow dry it, maybe not even that. You can do this at the hairdresser for roughly 40 dollars? And if you want your hair back to curly, you can go get your perm taken out, or just wait for it to grow back.
Make sure you don't dye your hair within a month after/before you get your perm unless it is done by a professional, as it can weaken your hair and possibly cause damage.

what you can do is go to a hair salon and ask for some high lights but to make them look natural (but ask you mom/dad cause highlights do cost a lot) then you ask for a side part like for you bangs to be on one side of your face ( if you don't have any bangs like then one in the the pic then just ask for then to cut you bangs but about shorter then your mouth but longer then your nose) you don't even have to have a stylist do you hair like on one side you can be creative and do it your self

No, if your hair is already pretty long then you don't need extensions. Simply go to a well-known, professional hair salon in your area and bring pics of what you want your hair to look like. They can dye specific sections or layers of your hair one color and the rest of your hair another. It all depends on how you want it. As long as you bring pics into the salon and have tell them clearly and exactly what you want, they should be able to do it without any problem. However, make sure you go to a professional.

I say go with a cut that complements your face. Go to a stylist to see what they think and if your hair is thin they might think that dying it will give it the illusion of greater thickness. And of course you can use volumizing products, but a good cut is the best thing.
Yeah I have the same problem. If you go onto youtube and search something like emo or scene hair there are some slideshows put together of lots of awesome haircuts.
I just went to google, clicked images, and typed scene hair, I don't have "scene hair" nor do I want it so thats the best recommendation I can give you because google images shows links to many different places on the web.

Seriously. They all claim all they want to do is be unique yet they all have pretty much the same hairstyles and the same clothing on top of all that. They're just right back where they started.
I don't wanna hear any crap that says thats stupid or dumb just gimme the answer ok? I plan to style it, but i need to know what makes it big and or stick up. And I need something versatile that isn't just that hairstyle, i need it for sports too. What makes it stick up?

i use pantene pro-v texturize hairspray and i lift a section and spray it at the roots. It works for me!
Bed head products work best.
sugar water. my friends mom said thats how she used to keep her mohawk up. was with sugar water.
it is sticky at frist then dries and hardens your hair in the style.
so if youre interested, get a small bowl, fill it up with like a cup or 1 1/2 cups warm water, then add like 2 ups of sugar, mix it up, then use one hand to hold your hair in its style, then the other to apply the sugar water mixture. then maybe blow dry, but with hot air.
orrr just use xtra hold hair gel like tresseme or aussie. or try xtra hold mousse (sp?) and apply when hair is damp, then blow dry for hold.
i really hope that helps even though i dont really like scene/emo hiar styles. :]

hairspray sucks! I have 3 words for you....SEBASTIAN CRUDE CLAY!!!! its amazing! ive had every hairstyle you could ever imagine and thats the only stuff that holds for me.. hairspray never lasts in my hair..
