How should I cut my hair to make it look emo/scene?

I have wavy/curly hair (but I always straighten it) thats just a couple of centimeters past my sholders but I've realy wanted to try a sort of emo/scene haircut and am going to the hairdressers in a couple of weeks to get one, only problem is, I don't know what to get.

Its hard for me to explain but I sorta want a big frindge that sweeps across my forehead and I realy want volume ontop.

If anyone has any ideas and/or pictures that would be greatly appreciated.

Oh and by the way I am not doing this to follow the crowd or trying to be emo or whatever, I just like the hair! So please don't reply with anything stating stuff that is untrue.

How should I cut my hair to make it look emo/scene?

"I sorta want a big frindge that sweeps across my forehead and I realy want volume ontop."

"thick bangs, and hair thinner towards my shoulders"

How should I cut my hair to make it look emo/scene?

just tell her you want to look like you have a big old mop on your head.

How should I cut my hair to make it look emo/scene?

OMG why do you want to be emo/scene it's so silly go and find your own unique style rather than follow those miserable sods

How should I cut my hair to make it look emo/scene?

How should I cut my hair to make it look emo/scene?

you have to tell them that you want many layers especially on the top. the top layer should be you shortest propably about 3 inches and thinned out. especially since your hair is wavy. my best friend has the same problem .

and actually they usually do the thinning process with a blade.

for the smart guy above that wanted to be funny and make an "emo" joke

How should I cut my hair to make it look emo/scene?

If you go onto photobucket you should find stuff.

The volume is from teasing your hair just so you know.

I have Hayley Williams hair .

After you wash your fringe at times you can be best friends or enimes. Your going to have to spend a LONG time every morning on your hair keeping scene/emo hair is hardwork .

To help keep it in place use hair spray but put it on you hands then into your hair to make it look more natural .

Go onto youtube to learn how to do it

How should I cut my hair to make it look emo/scene?

Process from wet hair to scene hair?

so my daughter just got her haircut, and just washed her hair, now its just looks layered, is she suppose to blowdry or dry it with a towel for the 'scene' look?

Process from wet hair to scene hair?

It kind of depends on what kind of scene hairstyle she got, but heres how you generally style scene haircuts:

Dont use a blowdryer cause that will make it look really fluffy and weird. Just dry with with a towel a bit, then style it the way it supposed to be styled. Then wait awhile for it to airdry. Once thats done, tell her to straighten it if it isnt already straight. After that, tease the layers and hairspray it so it stays in place. That should give her a sceneish look.

Process from wet hair to scene hair?

Well if its curly, she should straighten it first.

but if her hair is straight then let it air dry,

and then finish with styling products to give it volume.

like hairspray.

I used Big sexy hair hairspray and Bed head manipulator to keep it in place.

She should tease it with a teasing comb.

The bigger the better ;D

Process from wet hair to scene hair?

dry with a towel as much as she can, then blow dry it from the top, so the air pushes it down straight.

if her hair is straight, then she could straighten it (or if she wants, make it curly).

also tease it around the crown and up to make it a little 'bouncier' or 'poofier'.

Process from wet hair to scene hair?

If she wants it to be straight, try using a round hairbrush. Wooden is best because it retains the static. To add more volume and make her hair a little less flat, try teasing the hair from the roots out.

If she wants her hair to have a that 'just left the beach' look use a pump-hairspray bottle (White Rain extra hold) while her hair is still wet after she gets out of the shower.

Have your daughter brush her wet hair out straight, then mess it up again with her hands (to minimixe tangles) then spritz the hairspray into her wet hair as she blow dries and scrunches her hair at the same time.

Wa-ah!! Fun Hair!!

Thats a really cool hair cut! Good choice....

Go to a professional to get it dyed. If your hair is not already in that shape...then get it cut by a hairdresser. Don't try to do it yourself!

How to get STRAIGHT LAYERS (for girls - scene? hair) ??? (WITH PICTURES)?

ok so, i have long hair, with layers --like layers layers, as in they go as short as the top of my ears to super long.

problem is, after drying my hair, it just kind of flattens and my hair barely looks liek i have layers. (imagine a really flat, long heart shape)

so what i'm looking for is sort of poofy -- as in poofy heart shape, but also, the layers kinda stick out and are obvious

i'd consider it "scene-ish" hair, but correct me if i'm wrong.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/o...

theres a picture of what i basically want, except my hair is longer than hers.. what kind of products could i use to style my hair?

i've been told that garnier fructis shake effect liqui-gel could work..but i've looked in many stores and cant find anything close to it.. i live in canada btw, so if you have any suggestions you might wnat to keep this in mind..

THANKS ALOT :)

How to get STRAIGHT LAYERS (for girls - scene? hair) ??? (WITH PICTURES)?

Scene hair isn't really about the cut of the hair, it's about the way it's styled and coloured.

Scene hair originates from Manga styles (japanese cartoons) and is a more punk version of the "emo style" and usually still attributes as a long sweeping side fringe (though not always required.)

Scene hair can be about being yourselves, the aim is to just do what you think looks goodon you!

I found a website for you full of examples:

http://photobucket.com/images/scene%20ha...

When it comes to dye, just think about the colours that suit you best and that you wouldn't mind having in your hair, pink, red, black and blonde streaks and the mose popular colours.

Style:

1. Wash and condition

2. towel dry

3. Use styling mouse or gel to brush backwards

4. Style around your face, have spiky bits at the back if you want.

Finish off with a cute DIY accessory, bow or necklace, such as something from LoveBites and Bruises: http://www.lovebitesandbruises.com

This will show a flair of originality that scenesters try to go for to make them stand out and be original.

Best of luck with it! :)

How to get STRAIGHT LAYERS (for girls - scene? hair) ??? (WITH PICTURES)?

use volumizing gel or cream and blow dry with fingers not a brush so its thicker also put your head upside down when drying it to give it a lift at the roots then finish off with a shine serum or hairspray

How to get STRAIGHT LAYERS (for girls - scene? hair) ??? (WITH PICTURES)?

Just try blow drying you hair upside down, and using some type of volumizing mouse.

Mouse would probably be better than gel because it's lighter.

heyy

try drying ur hair while ur head is up side down. onli use ur fingers.. and ruffle up the hair as u dri it. and dont brush it afta u hav done that. jst leave it for bout 5 mins to let it setlle then use a fork comb and gentle get rid of any knots

c how u go and let me kno

Styling wax will do. The pantene pro-v one can be purchased at any pharmacy and it should be around $5.

I recently got a haircut and it looks similar to the one in the picture but it's a bit shorter and my stylist put the wax on my hair with her fingertips. I hope it will work out for your hair. ;)

HI

I would suggest after every wash- dry your hair and do out curls on them.

WIll look fantastic and ur layers will be visible as well

How to get STRAIGHT LAYERS (for girls - scene? hair) ??? (WITH PICTURES)?

Blow dry hair while still wet, while fluffing with your fingers to give it bounce. Then straighten it to get it completely straight like hers is. Then apply a styling wax/pomade that will define your layers. Coat it on random pieces.

Finish the look off by spraying with hairspray to hold the style. Good luck!

How to get STRAIGHT LAYERS (for girls - scene? hair) ??? (WITH PICTURES)?

if you are not getting this look ... and by the sounds of it from your post I would guess the reason you aren't gettig the look is because of the weight....if you want to copy this cut your hair needs to be as short and have as many layers.....that is the way the look happens.

When people come in to have hair copied or duplicated... it doesn't always work because they won't go as short or they don't have the same 'texture" of hair...

the photo has a girl with super thin hair.....as well as she has it bleached blonde which also gives it the lightness and lift that it has.....its not really a "product"......

i think a lot of people get that part mixed up....

if you want email me a photo of yours and I will advise more specifically....

but my first suggestion is to get it cut a lot more....and if you have thick and heavy hair it just would be too heavy.... its the one and only way you will get that look....
