Yes you do.Scenes tend to tease their hair a lot if they have long hair.The layers give it a little bit of texture and it makes it look good.If you want short hair, layers also work well because the layers stick out.

I would ask the stylist to use a razor to do the layers.They seem choppier and give you a better 'scenish' look.

you dont need layers if you dont want they really help though they really do thouh if you dont have layers get a dammm good brush adn hairspray to hold your hair !!!
